Ian is a seasoned investment banker with more than 30 years of international M&A experience, having completed more than 50 middle-market transactions.

Prior to joining Marula Capital, Ian was a Managing Director at Dresner Partners, a Chicago based M&A advisory firm. Prior to Dresner, he was a founder and owner of Buckingham Corporate Finance, a London-based mid-market M&A advisory firm where he led the firm’s international practice with a focus on cross-border transactions.

Ian also has extensive C-suite experience, having held such positions at two London Stock Exchange listed companies, as well as acting as fractional CFO for numerous US based middle-market companies, and he currently serves on the boards of several early-stage, high growth ventures.

Prior to becoming an investment banker, Mr. Leaman qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte in the UK, where he specialized in corporate restructurings. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, and has BA (Hons) from the University of Manchester.
